Like a Torin, but narrower through the midsole.  More flexible without loss of comfort or control.  For a faster run when desired, but generally a more nimble high mileage shoe for those who know exactly the fit/feel they prefer.  Proprioception and freedom of movement against the outright stiffness of the Torin 1.5.  If you already enjoy the Altra Zerodrop experience, this will be a welcome addition to your collection.  If your feet need liberating from the rigidity of the deeper shoes, the softer Instinct will feel like the proverbial 'pair of slippers'.
